  7. Help: Make next URL use its separate set of options
  8. Category: curl
  9. Example: $URL --next -d postthis www2.example.com
  10. Example: -I $URL --next https://example.net/
  11. ---
  12. Tells curl to use a separate operation for the following URL and associated
  13. options. This allows you to send several URL requests, each with their own
  14. specific options, for example, such as different user names or custom requests
  15. for each.
  16. --next will reset all local options and only global ones will have their
  17. values survive over to the operation following the --next instruction. Global
  18. options include --verbose, --trace, --trace-ascii and --fail-early.
  19. For example, you can do both a GET and a POST in a single command line:
  20. .nf
  21. curl www1.example.com --next -d postthis www2.example.com
  22. .fi
