Items for remodeling
Weapons Monthly 1st Issue 1/4
Of all gunblades (a sword-gun weapon), the finest
model is the Lionheart.
It requires rare items to be remodeled to its
highest quality. Good luck!
Weapons Monthly 1st Issue 2/4
Next, we show you the finest projectile weapon,
the Shooting Star.
Don`t let the angel wing motif fool you.
It`s a deadly weapon.
Weapons Monthly 1st Issue 3/4
Exeter comes to mind when considering high-
powered guns.
Despite its simple design, it`s a fine weapon made
of many rare metals.
Weapons Monthly 1st Issue 4/4
This Strange Vision is famous for its ability to hit
a target with perfect accuracy.
It`s also famous for its rarity.
Weapons Monthly March Issue 1/4
This time, we introduce a basic weapon.
The gunblade`s original model is this Revolver.
What it lacks in power, it more than makes up for
with its reliability.
Weapons Monthly March Issue 2/4
A punch can be a deadly weapon, but it can be
made even more effective by wearing these, the
Metal Knuckle.
These gloves are widely used.
Weapons Monthly March Issue 3/4
Even a weakling can cause serious damage
with this type of nunchaku, but they`re
also hard to use. This Flail has long been
a favorite for beginners.
Weapons Monthly March Issue 4/4
Whips are effective against enemies that are close
or far away.
This Chain Whip has a simple design, but is very
reliable in battle.
Weapons Monthly April Issue 1/4
An improvement in power over the Revolver, Shear
Trigger uses the same blade as the Revolver, but
the gun aspect is now more powerful.
Weapons Monthly April Issue 2/4
With the Maverick, the combatant can deliver direct
punching blows to the enemy.
The gloves are made of black leather and have
metal plates on the knuckles.
Weapons Monthly April Issue 3/4
Weapons that can be used from a distance have
many advantages.
The Pinwheel is one of the more basic projectile
weapons.
Weapons Monthly April Issue 4/4
Guns have the advantage of range, but damage is
less compared to swords.
The Valiant uses powerful bullets to cause damage
comparable to a sword.
Weapons Monthly May Issue 1/4
This Cutting Trigger is the latest model of
gunblade, made by replacing the blade of the
Revolver with the powerful Cutting Sword.
Weapons Monthly May Issue 2/4
Valkyrie is a projectile weapon that can fly
straight at the enemy using its stabilizing fins.
The blade is extremely deadly.
Weapons Monthly May Issue 3/4
The Ulysses lacks style, but is a quality rifle with
tremendous firepower.
The inelegant design was necessary to absorb the
powerful recoil after firing.
Weapons Monthly May Issue 4/4
This whip, the Slaying Tail, is known for its
tremendous speed and power.
It is named after Sleipner, the horse of the
legendary GF, Odin.
Weapons Monthly June Issue 1/4
The Flame Saber got its name from its red blade.
This gunblade is very similar to the Shear Trigger.
The only difference is that it has the Cutting
Trigger`s handle.
Weapons Monthly June Issue 2/4
The Gauntlet is covered with layers of steel.
It is a fighting glove for delivering heavy rather
than smooth blows.
Weapons Monthly June Issue 3/4
The ends of the Morning Star were equipped with
spiked metal balls to cause more damage.
It is a plain weapon, similar to nunchaku, but it is
fairly effective.
Weapons Monthly June Issue 4/4
The Red Scorpion is a unique whip made of rare
materials.
It`s strength comes from the dragon skin, while it`s
flexibility comes from the Ochu tentacle.
Weapons Monthly July Issue 1/4
The Twin Lance is a gunblade forged with two
blades. The two blades work synergistically to
inflict severe damage.
The only drawback is its heavy weight.
Weapons Monthly July Issue 2/4
The Rising Sun is similar to a circular saw.
It is made by upgrading the Pinwheel.
It is capable of slicing into enemies like a spinning
saw and dealing a devastating blow.
Weapons Monthly July Issue 3/4
Contrary to the Ulysses, the Bismarck has a sleek
look. The rifle is very handy and light, but in turn,
requires more physical strength and energy to
handle its powerful recoil.
Weapons Monthly July Issue 4/4
The Crescent Wish is an extremely powerful
nunchaku.
Some rare items are required to forge this weapon.
Weapons Monthly August Issue 1/4
The Punishment looks almost identical to the Twin
Lance, but it is lighter and more powerful.
The only gunblade more powerful than this is the
Lionheart.
Weapons Monthly August Issue 2/4
Ehrgeiz is the most powerful fighting glove.
It allows the wearer to deliver optimal hits based
on his or her ability.
Weapons Monthly August Issue 3/4
The Cardinal is the latest line of projectile weapons.
The wide fins provide more stability and accuracy
compared to the Valkyrie.
Its greater accuracy causes more damage.
Weapons Monthly August Issue 4/4
Save the Queen is the most powerful whip in the
world.
It is made with Malboro`s tentacles which are the
most ideal material for making whips.
Combat King 001 Sea Power! Dolphin Blow
Do you guys know what a Dolphin is?
It`s an adorable gray mammal that lives in the
ocean.
This skill, called the Dolphin Blow, draws out the
secret power of the dolphin.
It`ll give the enemy a hell of a show!
Dolphin Blow
Study the skill carefully.
Remember, always use it for a good cause, ok!?
Combat King 002 Power Blow! Meteor Strike
Picking up your enemy and slamming them on the
ground probably does the most damage.
That`s what Meteor Strike accomplishes.
And, of course, the bigger they are, the harder
they fall.
Meteor Strike
This is one of the hardest moves to do, but
study it carefully and you`ll eventually get it.
Remember, always use it for a good cause, ok!?
Combat King 003 Final blow! Meteor Barret
As a fighter, you will occasionally encounter near-
death experiences.
Using Meteor Barret in these situations may be
your only chance to emerge victorious.
It is a skill that throws all your energy against
the enemy.
Meteor Barret
Being a finishing blow, it inflicts tremendous damage
against the enemy.
Remember, always use it for a good cause, ok!?
Combat King 004 Aerial Finish! Different Beat
The enemy can`t do anything if you lift them up in
the air.
With Different Beat, you can kick the enemy up in
the air and keep kicking them while they remain
completely defenseless.
Different Beat
This is really an efficient skill so it`s worthwhile
to get it down.
Remember, always use it for a good cause, ok!?
Combat King 005 Super Dash! My Final Heaven
E = 1/2 x M x V x V E: Energy. M: Mass.
V: Velocity. Apparently, if you increase the
velocity, the energy goes up.
This skill is based on this physics equation.
At a velocity near the speed of light, you can
do major damage!
My Final Heaven
Get this skill, My Final Heaven, down and check out
the high-speed thrashing!
Remember, always use it for a good cause, ok!?

Introduction
Card Rules 1/13
The cards originated
when a psychic named
Orlan modified these tarot
cards for games.
The game became popular
with soldiers passing time
between battles.
As its popularity spread, each region developed its
own rules and picture variations.

Mog, a MiniMog, wants to go

But the treasure is in the

Everybody tells Mog, ”We`re

But Mog wants to go so badly.
No one can stop him now!
Mog finally decided to go by
himself.
Then... Two days passed...
Three days passed.
Mog did not come home.
Moomba and Cactuar imagined
Mog being barbecued by the
Demon King.
”We have to go help Mog with Chicobo!“
Moomba said, ”I`ll find weapons!“
Cactuar said, ”I`ll find treasures!“
What`s Chicobo doing with a TV and Fishing Pole?
0xC4 What is Solo-RPG!? 1/8
Chocobo World is a Solo-RPG.
Just as the word ”Solo“ implies, it is a game all
by itself.
Combined with the word RPG, it means it plays an
RPG by itself.

How GFs Level Up
GF gains experience when junctioned allies fight in
battle.
GF levels up with EXP gained, just as party
members do.
If multiple GF are junctioned to 1 ally, EXP is
divided among GF, and may slow their levels from
going up.
GF`s Ability
When you set an ability for a GF to learn in the GF
screen, that GF gains AP in battle.
Once the required number of AP is gained, the
ability is learned.
GF automatically begins learning the next ability.
To choose a specific ability, go to the menu GF
screen.
GF also learns abilities from items, but it can only
learn a maximum of 22 abilities.
Compatibility with GF
A higher compatibility stat shortens the summoning
time.
Compatibility goes up or down depending on the
junctioned ally`s actions.
Sometimes compatibility with a certain GF goes up,
while it goes down with other GF.
Some items change the compatibility stat.

5Ability Types
Basic Terms/Junction
Junction equips GF and Magic.
Referred to as: Junctioning GF to a character.
”Magic junctioned to a character“ and
”GF junctioned to a character“ fall under this
category.
Junction enables a character to use Magic and
summon GF.
Basic Terms/GF
GF signifies Guardian Force.
As allies, they provide the ability to use magic
and commands.
They can also be summoned to fight in a battle.
GF also gains levels with EXP as you do, and learn
abilities with AP.
Basic Terms/EXP
EXP signifies experience points gained in battle
by characters and GF.
Levels go up after gaining EXP.
Damaging an enemy gives EXP.
The amount of EXP received changes according
to the difference in character and enemy level.
Higher level enemies are worth more, lower level
enemies are worth less.
The character or the GF to give the final blow
receives bonus EXP.
Basic Terms/AP
AP signifies Ability Point.
GF receive AP by defeating enemies.
AP is used by GF to learn abilities.
Once enough AP are gained, GF learns the ability
being studied.
Basic Terms/Phys. & Magic Attacks
Attacks are categorized into physical and magic
attacks.
Physical attack means damaging an enemy with
a sword or other physical weapons.
Magic attack means damaging an enemy with
magical force.
These differences come into play in order to
attack enemies effectively.
Basic Terms/Magic
Every character carries magic.
Magic stock decreases when used.
Raise stats by junctioning magic to them.
There are 3 ways to obtain magic:
·Draw it from enemies.
·Draw it from draw points.
·Refine it from items.
Basic Terms/Draw
One of the battle commands.
This command allows allies to draw magic from
enemies.
When drawing, choose either Stock to store the
magic, or Cast to use it.
A character at a high level can draw magic more
efficiently than a character at a low level.
Some magic cannot be drawn unless a character
is at a high level.
Basic Terms/Stock
Stock is one of the draw commands.
The command allows characters to store drawn
magic for future use.
It is possible to draw up to 9 units of magic per
draw.
Basic Terms/Cast
Cast is one of the draw commands.
The command allows casting of drawn magic.
The effect of the magic on the target is random.
Draw and cast can only use 1 unit of magic.
Basic Terms/Limit Break
A limit break is a special skill characters can use
in dire situations.
Each character has his/her own special attacks.
These moves do a lot of damage against an enemy.
Basic Terms/Stats
Every character has 9 stats:
Hit Points, Strength, Vitality, Magic, Spirit, Speed,
Evade, Hit, and Luck.
The values assigned to the stats reflect their level.
Select stat type
îHP
ïStrength
ñVitality
òMagic
Spirit
0Speed
2Evade
3Hit
1Luck
HP
HP signifies Hit Points.
HP represents the life force of the character.
Zero HP represents KO.
Strength
The value of Strength determines the degree of
damage caused by a physical attack.
The higher the Strength, the greater the damage
to the enemy.
Vitality
The value of Vitality determines the degree of
damage a character can endure from a physical
attack.
A character with high Vitality suffers less damage
from physical attacks.
Magic
The value of Magic determines the degree of
damage caused by a magic attack.
Higher Magic causes more magical damage.
The chance of successfully casting magic that
cause status abnormalities becomes higher if your
magic level is high.
A high Magic level also allows you to restore more
HP with healing magic like Cure.
Spirit
The value of Spirit determines the degree of
damage a character can endure from a magic
attack.
A character with high Spirit suffers less damage
from magic attacks.
Speed
The value of Speed determines the speed of the
character`s ATB meter.
It takes the character a shorter time to act if
this value is high.
Luck
Luck affects numerous actions of the character
in the game.
For example, having a higher value for Luck is
an advantage during battle.
Evade
The value for Evade determines the character`s
ability to dodge physical attacks.
Characters that have high Evade can dodge
physical attacks more easily.
Hit
The value for Hit determines the accuracy of a
physical attack.
Accuracy increases as the Hit level increases.
However, your target`s evade level can affect the
accuracy of your physical attack.
Basic Terms/Ability
One of the GF abilities learned through acquiring
AP.
Ability enables characters to use commands and
special powers, but you must junction GF first.
There are many abilities with different functions,
in roughly 6 categories.

!About Elemental
?Elemental Attack (Elem-Atk)
…Elemental Defense (Elem-Def)
Elemental/About Elemental
Elemental is a physical attribute.
There are Fire, Ice, Thunder, Earth, Poison, Wind,
Water, and Holy elements.
This means that Fire magic has Fire properties,
Ice monsters have ice properties, etc.
Damage varies depending on elemental properties.
There is also a non-elemental property.
Non-elemental is not influenced by other elements.
Elemental/Elem-Atk
Signifies junctioning magic to Elem-Atk.
Only magic with an elemental property can be
junctioned.
Once junctioned, Attack has an elemental property.
An elemental stat is at maximum at 100%.
When attacking an enemy that is susceptible to Fire
attacks, a character inflicts twice the damage if
that character`s Fire stat is at 100%.
But at 50%, damage only amounts to 1.5 times.
Elemental/Elem-Def
Elem-Def signifies Elemental Defense, which sets
an elemental property to your defense.
Certain elemental attacks can be defended against
depending on your Elem-Def element.
Fire Elem-Def protects against fire attacks.
Fire attacks can heal characters who are
completely immune to fire.
Characters who are weak against fire are easily
damaged by fire attacks.

-About Status
=ST-Atk
*ST-Def
&Status Type
Status/About Status
Status signifies status effects, such as Poison
and Petrify.
Status Change means change in a character`s
status.
Besides status like Poison and Petrify, which have
negative effects, there are status changes like
Protect and Double, which benefit the character.
Status changes occur to both enemies and allies.
Status/ST-Atk
ST-Atk signifies attacks with status change
or which have status change added to them.
After setting status change to an attack, the
attack will change an enemy`s status.
Most magic has a status change, such as Sleep,
which causes the Sleep status.
Status/ST-Def
ST-Def signifies status defense, either already
in use, or actually setting a status to defense.
This defends against certain status changes.
If attacked by Petrify while the defense is set
against Petrify, a status change doesn`t occur.

A cavern near Balamb Garden where a Fire element
GF lives.
Dollet
A small country on the eastern coast of Galbadia
continent (formerly Dollet).
Remnants of an ancient empire.
Timber
A city located south of Dollet in the forest area.
It was an independent country before neighboring
country Galbadia invaded 18 years ago.
There are numerous resistance groups fighting for
independence to this day.
Timber TV Station
All forms of communication now use HD cables.
No radio transmissions are used.
Timber TV Station keeps its radio systems, waiting
for the day radio transmission is restored.
Galbadia
Ruled under the military dictatorship of President
Vinzer Deling, this country continues to expand its
territory.
Countless invasions of other countries are
attempted, but most are deterred by SeeD.
Deling City is its capital.
Tomb of the Unknown King
Located north of Deling City; the burial place of
Dollet Empire`s last emperor.
The tomb remains nameless due to the ancient
belief that calling a dead king by his name brings
bad luck.
There are uncomfirmed reports that a GF resides
inside, as well as other monsters.
Winhill
A small town outside of Galbadia.
It is actually a small village.
Sorceress Adel of Esthar ordered attacks on this
village several times.
D-District Prison
Located in the desert south of Deling City,
all people deemed dangerous by the government
are sent to this facility.
It has become a symbol of President Deling`s
fascist policies.
Missile Base
Galbadia`s long-range missile base.
As the only country to own long range missiles with
the exception of Esthar, they pose a major security
threat to the world.
It is believed that the missiles are armed with a
target-lock mechanism.
The details are unknown.
Horizon Bridge
A railroad that connected the East and West
continents.
Completed about the time war broke out, it was only

Due to the harsh climate, Moombas and the Shumi
tribe are the only occupants.
Trabia Garden students and faculty also reside
here.
Esthar (1)
Founded by people who immigrated to a continent
east of Centra around the same time Dollet Empire
was founded.
The mild climate and temperament of the people
soon gave way to scientific advancement.
Esthar (2)
Started the Sorceress War and fought against the
world under Adel`s rule.
Their sorceress and their scientific powers posed
a worldwide threat.
After abruptly declaring an end to the war, Esthar
closed its borders and has kept its silence ever
since.
No details are known.
Esthar (3)
Governed by President Laguna and his aides.
Due to their concern over Dr. Odine`s inventions
having a negative effect on the state of world
security, they closed off their country for 17
years.
It is very likely that President Laguna will be
criticized for keeping silent for so long.
Seaside Station
A station on the Esthar side of Horizon Bridge.
It is currently abandoned.
Great Salt Lake
A lake on the Esthar continent.
What used to be a beautiful lake is now a barren
field.

the lake`s destruction.
Moon
A world of monsters.
Many works of art and epics about the moon
throughout history are evidence of its mystical
powers.
Deep Sea Research Center
A man-made mobile island for marine life research.

are believed to become compressed.
Sorceress` power from many generations may cross
over to give 1 sorceress great strength.
No one knows what effect this may have on regular
human beings.
Garden
Balamb Garden was founded 12 years ago, followed
by Galbadia and Trabia Gardens.

work.
SeeD is in high demand by groups requiring a small
force of undercover specialists.
Commissions made through such dispatches are an
important part of Balamb Garden`s income.
SeeD (3)
SeeD battle operations are noted for their skillful
use of para-magic.
Balamb Garden researches the use of GF in
conjunction with para-magic.
For this, Balamb Garden SeeD members master the
most powerful forms of para-magic.

down because of noise across all frequencies.
However, short transmissions are still possible.
Believed to have some relation to the moon, but
details are unknown.
Radio Interference (2)
Most countries now communicate through the use
of HD cables running underground.
However, many of these cables are cut off by
monsters or in battle.
Many countries are left without any means to
communicate with each other.
Lunar Cry
Refers to monsters falling from the moon.
Completely destroyed the cities of Centra.
Occurs when monsters reach a saturation point on
the moon.
It`s believed that there are factors on the planet
that cause this phenomenon.
This phenonmenon has occured many times in
history and will reoccur in the future.
Monsters
Creatures on the moon. Monsters fall to earth at
regular intervals.
This phenomenon is called the Lunar Cry.
The monsters bred on the planet since the last
Lunar Cry make up those roaming the planet at this
time.
The Lunar Cry phenomenon also transformed some
animals into monsters.
Centra Civilization

These Centra people immigrated to other continents
and founded the Dollet Empire to the west and
Esthar to the east.
Centra was destroyed 80 years ago by the Lunar
Cry.
Odine Items
A device to restrain sorceresses` power.
Dr. Odine, afraid of Sorceress Adel`s power,
created it.
It looks like beautiful jewelry.
Sorceress
The legend goes that the Great Hyne created
people.
The sorceresses were given a fragment of Hyne`s
own power.
It`s hard to determine how many sorceresses exist
today, for many keep their powers concealed.
However, it is believed that they avoid spreading
their power too thin.
Sorceress Power & Embodiment
Sorceress power has been passed throughout
history by the process of embodiment.
Any person who has the capacity to embody the
great sorceress power is a candidate.
Succession of Sorceress Power
When a sorceress is about to die, she gives her
power to the next person who 'inherits` her
sorceress powers.
According to Odine`s research, the power tends to
weaken with each succession.
Crystal Pillar
A crystal that causes the Lunar Cry by producing
a strong energy field between the planet and the
moon.
It`s believed to have originated in the moon.
The Crystal Pillar responds to a specific location
on the planet, and sends a strong directional signal.
More research is required to analyze this process
in detail.
Lunatic Pandora
An enclosure for Crystal Pillar made by Esthar.
3 miles tall and 1.5 miles wide, the enormous
enclosure boasts a high-tech facility.
It floats by causing a reaction with the Crystal
Pillar.
A stone from the moon is sealed inside.
It was probably built to cause the Lunar Cry
through artificial means.
Tears` Point
Lunar Cry`s point of origin determined by Esthar
scientists.
A security box restraining the power of the Crystal
Pillar and ground energy field is set up.
It is sealed to prevent the Crystal Pillar from
entering the area.
Adel`s Tomb
A high-tech device intended for weakening and
confining a sorceress` power.
Shot into the moon`s orbit after going through a
special sealing process.
Used to confine Sorceress Adel.
It is the main cause of radio interference on the
planet.

build it.
Esthar`s flagship, until it was used to send Adel`s
Tomb into space.
MD Level
Balamb Garden`s foundation.
The original structure of Centra Shelter remains
almost entirely intact.
Entry is strictly forbidden.

after Centra was destroyed by the Lunar Cry.
People used mobile Centra Shelters to move around
the world.
Many ruined shelters are found around the world.
Timber Maniacs
A magazine representing the people`s voice.
It was popular among aspiring young journalists.
Shut down after Galbadia deemed the publication
dangerous.
Eyes On Me
Julia Heartilly`s song.
Julia married the Galbadian General Caraway after

Junction Tutorial
Junction enables
characters to power up
and use abilities.
This means
A GF must be junctioned
in order to power up
and use abilities.
Let`s begin by
junctioning a GF.
Right now, no GF is junctioned.
All other commands in gray
cannot be selected yet.
Once Junction is selected,
the GF and Magic commands appear.
Since no GF is junctioned,
Magic is displayed in gray.
Let`s junction a GF.
By selecting GF,
a GF list appears.
Press to see abilities
possessed by a GF.
The abilities are
HP Junction,
Vitality Junction, etc.
Let`s choose a GF.
When GF is selected,
its abilities,
HP-J and Vit-J make the stats
HP and Vit appear in white.
Magic can now be
junctioned to HP and Vit.
But, since there is currently
no magic, we will move onto
setting abilities.
There are 3 command abilities
and 2 non-command abilities
for characters and party.
A total of 5 abilities can be set.
Depending on the GF`s
abilities, the maximum is
4 non-command abilities.
This means that up to 7
abilities can be set.
Let`s set some abilities.
First, select a slot.
The top window is for Command
abilities used during battle.
The bottom window is for
character and party abilities.
Selecting the top window
displays command abilities,
and selecting the bottom window displays
character and party abilities.
Since there is currently
no magic,
let`s set the command ability,
Draw, to get some magic.
When an empty slot is chosen,
the cursor moves to the right.
Select Draw to set
the command, Draw.
This is how command abilities
used during battle are set.
Let`s add GF and Item to
the list of command abilities.
Now GF and Item are set.
Let`s set a non-command ability.
By moving the cursor down,
a character ability is displayed.
Now, to set Mag+20%,
select an empty slot,
and select Mag+20%.
Mag+20% is now set.
Abilities have now been set.
This concludes the tutorial.
Thank you, and good luck.
Junctioning Magic
By junctioning magic, you
can raise the character`s stats.
If the GF has learned the ability
to junction onto stats, that
particular stat will be
displayed in white.
By selecting Junction here,
the GF and Magic commands will appear.
You are able to junction magic
by selecting Magic.
When Magic is selected,
a list of magic appears.
Use the cursor to select
which stat to junction.
When Str is selected,
choose a magic with the cursor.
You can see how the stat value
changes with each magic.
When a magic is selected,
the magic will be displayed next
to the stat and the value will change.
Only one magic can be
assigned to each stat.
However,
there is no need to junction
magic manually, one by one.
Select Auto
after junctioning.
`Auto` junctions magic
automatically.
There are 3 commands to
choose from.
Atk favors Strength,
Mag favors magic,
and Def favors
raising HP.
Thus, magic can be junctioned
easily by using Auto.
For example, let`s select
the Atk junction.
Magic has been junctioned
to favor Strength.
This concludes the
Magic Junction tutorial.
Junction can change basic
parameters such as Strength
and Magic, as well as
elemental parameters.
By junctioning a GF with
elemental junction ability,
as magic is junctioned,
the EL-A/D slot above HP turns white,
indicating an elemental junction.
When is selected,
the elemental junction screen appears.
Elemental junction works
like other junctions.
First, select a stat to junction,
then choose a magic to
finish the junction.
However, non-elemental magic
like Cure cannot be junctioned.
Elemental junction affects
attack and defense differently.
Junctioning to Elem-Atk
links that element to a character`s Attack.
The % indicates how much of the attack`s
damage is linked to that element.
At the maximum value of 100%,
the Attack becomes entirely elemental.
In the example, Ice is at 50%; this
means that damage only increases by 50%.
When junctioned to Elem-Def,
the damage from that element is reduced.
Reduction of damage is shown in %.
At 100%, damage is reduced to 0.
In the example, fire damage is
reduced to 20%, because Elem-Def
is at 80%.
is displayed when the value goes over
100%, indicating that damage is absorbed.
In this state, you can absorb the
amount of damage indicated in %.
In the example, 50% of fire
damage is absorbed.
Multiple magic types can be junctioned
to Elem-Def, depending on the GF`s ability.
Junction multiple magic types with the
same elemental for a cumulative effect.
Try junctioning different
magic to check the effect.
You can also select Auto to
automatically junction the most
effective elemental magic.
This concludes the Elemental
Junction Tutorial.
Status Junction Explanation
By junctioning a GF with
status junction ability,
as magic is junctioned,
the ST-A/D slot above HP turns
white, indicating a status junction.
Press here twice to
see the Status Junction screen.
Status junction works the same
way as elemental junction.
First, select a stat to junction,
then select a magic to
complete the junction.
However,
magic with no status change,
like Fire, cannot be junctioned.
Status junction affects
attack and defense differently.
Junctioning to ST-Atk
gives that status change to Attack.
The status change probability is
indicated in %.
In the example, there is a 90% chance
of afflicting an enemy with Darkness.
100% is the maximum value, but there
are enemies who may not be affected,
even with 100% ST-Atk.
Junctioning to ST-Def
reduces the probability of status change.
Probability is displayed in %.
No status change will occur at 100%.
In the example, the effect of Sleep
attack is reduced by 80%.
However, depending on the enemy attack,
status change may still occur at 100%.
You can junction multiple magic types
to ST-Def, depending on the GF`s ability.
Some magic, like Esuna, will
defend against multiple status changes.
Try junctioning different
magic to check the effect.
Select Auto to junction
the most effective status
magic automatically.
This concludes the Status
Junction Tutorial.
GF Tutorial
A GF will level up
as it gains experience (EXP),
and learn new abilities
by gaining AP (Ability Points).
From EXP and AP:
EXP gained from battles
automatically levels up the GF,
while AP gained
during battle
can be distributed, to
learn different abilities.
Decide how to distribute the points.
Let`s go over how
a GF can learn
different abilities.
Select GF from the menu
to display the GF acquired.
When is selected,
`s stats are shown.
This displays its EXP, LV,
and compatibility between
characters, etc., but
by selecting Learn,
`s ability list
is displayed.
Abilities in white, such as
Str-J are abilities already learned,
while abilities in gray
have not been learned yet.
The first number in gray
shows the AP spent towards learning,
and the second number shows
the AP required to complete.
Vit-J shows that 50 AP
are required, of which 0 AP
has been spent.
In order to learn the
ability Elem-Atk-J,
move the cursor to Elem-Atk-J
and confirm.
Elem-Atk-J will then be displayed
to the left, under Learning.
From here on, all AP gained
will be used for Elem-Atk-J.
When all 160 AP are gained,
Elem-Atk-J is learned.
Once an ability is
learned, AP will
automatically move to an
ability not yet learned.
With each learned ability
comes a different set of
abilities to learn.
The order of learning
affects the GF`s powers.
Therefore,
it is recommended to
return to this screen to
set the next ability.
This concludes the tutorial.
Thank you, and good luck.
The Status Screen displays
each character`s basic
data.
The first status screen shows
stats such as HP, Str, etc.
The second screen shows all the status
and elemental-related information.
The third status screen shows
GF-related information.
The fourth status screen shows
Limit Break information.
`s gunblade settings can be changed
in the Limit Break screen.
There are two settings:
Gunblade Auto
Renzokuken Indicator
If you select
Gunblade Auto to ON,
Renzokuken hits automatically
without having to press .
However, a 'Perfect` may not be possible
with this option. You must select OFF
and press manually at the right time.
If the Renzokuken Indicator
is turned OFF,
the indicator will not be
displayed during Renzokuken.
If the Gunblade Auto option
is turned ON, the Renzokuken Indicator
is turned OFF automatically.
That`s all for
`s Limit Break.
Zell`s Limit Break settings can
also be changed in the Status screen.
If Duel-Auto
is turned ON,
the Limit Break Duel
will execute automatically.
The Limit Break moves listed on the
screen are selected randomly.
That`s all for
Zell`s Limit Break.
`s Limit Break uses .
The tricks can learn are
listed on the Status screen.
The fourth status screen lists all the
tricks that can learn.
The gauge on the right indicates
how much has been learned.
When the gauge is full,
the trick has been learned.
If the gauge is not full,
the trick has yet to be learned.
To learn
a new trick,
move the cursor to the trick
name and press .
Now as walks around, the gauge
will fill up, and will learn the trick.
If you select a trick
that has already been learned,
there will be a message
before you close this screen.
If there is still a trick to
learn, be sure to select it.
You can learn new tricks
by reading a magazine called
Pet Pals.
After reading Pet Pals, access
this screen to change the settings.
That`s all for
`s Limit Breaks.

At the Switch,
party members and junction
can be switched.
To change party members,
select Switch Member,
choose a replacement,
then select member being replaced.
The members will switch places.
However, please note that
there are times
when certain characters
cannot join the party.
The other command,
Junction Exchange
exchanges the
magic, GF,
junctioned magic,
and abilities
between characters.
This way, the replacing member
can take over all abilities at once.
The process is the same as Switch Member.
Select a replacement,
then the member to be replaced,
to activate the command.
Please note that
this process may change the
member`s current HP.
This concludes the Switch explanation.
