  12. Makes curl verbose during the operation. Useful for debugging and seeing
  13. what's going on "under the hood". A line starting with '>' means "header data"
  14. sent by curl, '<' means "header data" received by curl that is hidden in
  15. normal cases, and a line starting with '*' means additional info provided by
  16. curl.
  17. If you only want HTTP headers in the output, --include might be the option
  18. you are looking for.
  19. If you think this option still does not give you enough details, consider using
  20. --trace or --trace-ascii instead.
  21. This option is global and does not need to be specified for each use of
  22. --next.
  23. Use --silent to make curl really quiet.
