Gravity was supported by a couple of open source projects. The inspiration for closures comes from the elegant <a href="http://www.lua.org" target="_blank">Lua</a> programming language; specifically from the document <a href="http://www.cs.tufts.edu/~nr/cs257/archive/roberto-ierusalimschy/closures-draft.pdf">Closures in Lua</a>.
