  10. <h1>[name]</h1>
  11. <p class="desc">[name] can be used to apply hierarchical 3D transformations to DOM elements
  12. via the CSS3 [link:https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_transform.asp transform] property.
  13. This renderer is particularly interesting if you want to apply 3D effects to a website without
  14. canvas based rendering. It can also be used in order to combine DOM elements with WebGL
  15. content.<br /><br />
  16. There are, however, some important limitations:
  17. <ul>
  18. <li>It's not possible to use the material system of *three.js*.</li>
  19. <li>It's also not possible to use geometries.</li>
  20. <li>`[name]` only supports 100% browser and display zoom.</li>
  21. </ul>
  22. So `[name]` is just focused on ordinary DOM elements. These elements are wrapped into special objects (`CSS3DObject` or `CSS3DSprite`) and then added to the scene graph.
  23. </p>

  31. <h2>Constructor</h2>
  32. <h3>[name]( [param:Object parameters] )</h3>
  33. <p>
  34. [page:DOMElement element] - A [link:https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/HTMLElement HTMLElement]
  35. where the renderer appends its child-elements.
  36. This corresponds to the [page:CSS3DRenderer.domElement domElement] property below.
  37. If not passed in here, a new div element will be created.
  38. </p>
  39. <h2>Properties</h2>
  40. <h3>[property:DOMElement domElement]</h3>
  41. <p>
  42. A [link:https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/HTMLElement HTMLElement] where the renderer appends its child-elements.<br />
  43. This is automatically created by the renderer in the constructor (if not provided already).
  44. </p>
  45. <h2>Methods</h2>
  46. <h3>[method:Object getSize]()</h3>
  47. <p>
  48. Returns an object containing the width and height of the renderer.
  49. </p>
  50. <h3>[method:undefined render]( [param:Scene scene], [param:PerspectiveCamera camera] )</h3>
  51. <p>
  52. Renders a [page:Scene scene] using a [page:PerspectiveCamera perspective camera].<br />
  53. </p>
  54. <h3>[method:undefined setSize]([param:Number width], [param:Number height])</h3>
  55. <p>
  56. Resizes the renderer to (width, height).
  57. </p>
