  27. <h2>Constructor</h2>
  28. <h3>[name]( [param:Object parameters] )</h3>
  29. <p>
  30. [page:Object parameters] - (optional) an object with one or more properties defining the material's appearance.
  31. Any property of the material (including any property inherited from [page:Material]) can be passed in here.<br /><br />
  32. The exception is the property [page:Hexadecimal color], which can be passed in as a hexadecimal
  33. string and is *0xffffff* (white) by default. [page:Color.set]( color ) is called internally.
  34. </p>
  35. <h2>Properties</h2>
  36. <p>See the base [page:Material] class for common properties.</p>
  37. <h3>[property:Texture alphaMap]</h3>
  38. <p>The alpha map is a grayscale texture that controls the opacity across the surface
  39. (black: fully transparent; white: fully opaque). Default is null.<br /><br />
  40. Only the color of the texture is used, ignoring the alpha channel if one exists.
  41. For RGB and RGBA textures, the [page:WebGLRenderer WebGL] renderer will use the
  42. green channel when sampling this texture due to the extra bit of precision provided
  43. for green in DXT-compressed and uncompressed RGB 565 formats. Luminance-only and
  44. luminance/alpha textures will also still work as expected.
  45. </p>
  46. <h3>[property:Texture aoMap]</h3>
  47. <p>The red channel of this texture is used as the ambient occlusion map. Default is null.
  48. The aoMap requires a second set of UVs.</p>
  49. <h3>[property:Float aoMapIntensity]</h3>
  50. <p>Intensity of the ambient occlusion effect. Default is 1. Zero is no occlusion effect.</p>
  51. <h3>[property:Color color]</h3>
  52. <p>[page:Color] of the material, by default set to white (0xffffff).</p>
  53. <h3>[property:Integer combine]</h3>
  54. <p>
  55. How to combine the result of the surface's color with the environment map, if any.<br /><br />
  56. Options are [page:Materials THREE.Multiply] (default), [page:Materials THREE.MixOperation],
  57. [page:Materials THREE.AddOperation]. If mix is chosen, the [page:.reflectivity] is used to
  58. blend between the two colors.
  59. </p>
  60. <h3>[property:TextureCube envMap]</h3>
  61. <p>The environment map. Default is null.</p>
  62. <h3>[property:Texture lightMap]</h3>
  63. <p>The light map. Default is null. The lightMap requires a second set of UVs.</p>
  64. <h3>[property:Float lightMapIntensity]</h3>
  65. <p>Intensity of the baked light. Default is 1.</p>
  66. <h3>[property:Texture map]</h3>
  67. <p>The color map. Default is null.</p>
  68. <h3>[property:Boolean morphTargets]</h3>
  69. <p>Define whether the material uses morphTargets. Default is false.</p>
  70. <h3>[property:Float reflectivity]</h3>
  71. <p>
  72. How much the environment map affects the surface; also see [page:.combine].
  73. The default value is 1 and the valid range is between 0 (no reflections) and 1 (full reflections).
  74. </p>
  75. <h3>[property:Float refractionRatio]</h3>
  76. <p>
  77. The index of refraction (IOR) of air (approximately 1) divided by the index of refraction of the material.
  78. It is used with environment mapping modes [page:Textures THREE.CubeRefractionMapping] and [page:Textures THREE.EquirectangularRefractionMapping].
  79. The refraction ratio should not exceed 1. Default is *0.98*.
  80. </p>
  81. <h3>[property:Boolean skinning]</h3>
  82. <p>Define whether the material uses skinning. Default is false.</p>
  83. <h3>[property:Texture specularMap]</h3>
  84. <p>Specular map used by the material. Default is null.</p>
  85. <h3>[property:Boolean wireframe]</h3>
  86. <p>Render geometry as wireframe. Default is *false* (i.e. render as flat polygons).</p>
  87. <h3>[property:String wireframeLinecap]</h3>
  88. <p>
  89. Define appearance of line ends. Possible values are "butt", "round" and "square". Default is 'round'.<br /><br />
  90. This corresponds to the [link:https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/API/CanvasRenderingContext2D/lineCap 2D Canvas lineCap]
  91. property and it is ignored by the [page:WebGLRenderer WebGL] renderer.
  92. </p>
  93. <h3>[property:String wireframeLinejoin]</h3>
  94. <p>
  95. Define appearance of line joints. Possible values are "round", "bevel" and "miter". Default is 'round'.<br /><br />
  96. This corresponds to the [link:https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/API/CanvasRenderingContext2D/lineJoin 2D Canvas lineJoin]
  97. property and it is ignored by the [page:WebGLRenderer WebGL] renderer.
  98. </p>
  99. <h3>[property:Float wireframeLinewidth]</h3>
  100. <p>Controls wireframe thickness. Default is 1.<br /><br />
  101. Due to limitations of the [link:https://www.khronos.org/registry/OpenGL/specs/gl/glspec46.core.pdf OpenGL Core Profile]
  102. with the [page:WebGLRenderer WebGL] renderer on most platforms linewidth will
  103. always be 1 regardless of the set value.
