14. A light that gets emitted from a single point in all directions. A common use case for this
 15. is to replicate the light emitted from a bare lightbulb.

16. This light can cast shadows - see [page:LightShadow] page for details.

 33.
Constructor

 34.
[name]( [param:Integer color], [param:Float intensity], [param:Number distance], [param:Float decay] )

 35.

 36. [page:Integer color] - (optional) hexadecimal color of the light. Default is 0xffffff (white).
37. [page:Float intensity] - (optional) numeric value of the light's strength/intensity. Default is 1.

38. [page:Number distance] - Maximum range of the light. Default is 0 (no limit).
39. [page:Float decay] - The amount the light dims along the distance of the light. Default is 1.
 40. For [page:WebGLRenderer.physicallyCorrectLights physically correct] lighting, set this to 2.

41. Creates a new [name].
 42.

 43.
Properties

 44.

 45. See the base [page:Light Light] class for common properties.
 46.

 47.
[property:Float decay]

 48.

 49. The amount the light dims along the distance of the light
50. In [page:WebGLRenderer.physicallyCorrectLights physically correct] mode, decay = 2 leads to physically realistic light falloff.
51. Default is *1*.
 52.

 53.
[property:Float distance]

 54.

 55. Default mode — When distance is zero, light does not attenuate. When distance is
 56. non-zero, light will attenuate linearly from maximum intensity at the light's position down to
 57. zero at this distance from the light.
 58.

 59.

 60. [page:WebGLRenderer.physicallyCorrectLights Physically correct] mode — When distance
 61. is zero, light will attenuate according to inverse-square law to infinite distance. When
 62. distance is non-zero, light will attenuate according to inverse-square law until near the
 63. distance cutoff, where it will then attenuate quickly and smoothly to 0. Inherently, cutoffs
 64. are not physically correct.
 65.

 66.

 67. Default is *0.0*.
 68.

 69.
[property:Boolean isPointLight]

 70.

 71. Used to check whether this or derived classes are point lights. Default is *true*.

72. You should not change this, as it used internally for optimisation.
 73.

 74.
[property:Float power]

 75.

 76. The light's power.
77. In [page:WebGLRenderer.physicallyCorrectLights physically correct] mode, the luminous
 78. power of the light measured in lumens. Default is *4Math.PI*.

79. This is directly related to the [page:.intensity intensity] in the ratio
 80.

 81. power = intensity * 4π
 82.

 83. and changing this will also change the intensity.
 84.

 85.
[property:LightShadow shadow]

 86.

 87. A [page:LightShadow] used to calculate shadows for this light.

88. The lightShadow's [page:LightShadow.camera camera]
 89. is set to a [page:PerspectiveCamera] with [page:PerspectiveCamera.fov fov] of 90,
 90. [page:PerspectiveCamera.aspect aspect] of 1, [page:PerspectiveCamera.near near]
 91. clipping plane at 0.5 and [page:PerspectiveCamera.far far] clipping plane at 500.
 92.

 93.
Methods

 94.

 95. See the base [page:Light Light] class for common methods.
 96.

 97.
[method:PointLight copy]( [param:PointLight source] )

 98.

 99. Copies value of all the properties from the [page:PointLight source] to this
 100. PointLight.
